With extensive industrial experience in welding engineering, inspection, quality assurance and advanced manufacturing practices, he shared valuable insights gained from real industrial applications.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, J J College of Engineering and Technology, organized an alumni interaction programme on 09/05/2026. The session was delivered by our distinguished alumnus Dr. B. Shanmugarajan, IWE., Additional General Manager, Welding Research Institute (WRI), BHEL, Tiruchirappalli. The programme aimed to provide students with practical knowledge about core engineering disciplines, welding technologies, industrial practices and career opportunities available for mechanical engineering graduates.
The interaction provided students an opportunity to understand the connection between academic learning and industrial requirements. The expert motivated students to strengthen their fundamentals, improve technical skills and prepare themselves for professional careers in core engineering industries. Students actively participated and clarified their doubts regarding career pathways and skill requirements.
